For 1 serving, you'll need:
- 1 apple, peeled and diced
- 1 or 2 tbsp of unsalted raw crunchy almond butter (but I don't really measure)
- About 1 tsp of shredded coconut
- Some raisins
- Dark chocolate chips or raw cacao nibs (I omit these at night because of the caffeine)

About your question: you are probably more familiar with peanut butter, but there are plenty of other butters out there made of different nuts (though technically peanut is a legume). Some are made of raw nuts while others are made of toasted nuts.
Almond butter happens to be one of my favorites ;). Check your local health food or organic grocery store, I'm sure they carry various nut butters.
